Homemade Almond Milk Peppermint Hot Cocoa

Homemade almond milk is one of my best hacks and I’ve been waiting for the right season to share it with y’all, and this festive peppermint hot chocolate is exactly that time!

Why Homemade Almond Milk?: I often use the store bought stuff because it’s just easy and available, but it has a lot of additives, so when I have the energy homemade just hits different. Also sometimes I run out of the store bought stuff and just have to make it work. You can actually make almond milk very easily in a powerful blender like a Vitamix. It’s best to use day-of but it lasts 1-2 days in the fridge. Here’s a recipe for both the almond milk by itself and in a hot chocolate (Hot tip: You can use the same blender for both without washing…easy peasy.)
