Values Exercise | A Time For Reflection

I shared this as a post on my instagram page yesterday, and I'm sharing it on this new page, LIFESTYLE, where I'll incorporate some of my hot tips and best wellness practices outside of Pilates.

Besides sun and time with friends, I’ve started to recognize THE SLOW DOWN as one of the greatest gifts of this time in Key West. Adapting to Island Time is always initially challenging for my overworked NYC “HUSTLE MUSCLE,” but three weeks into my Caribbean adventure, I’m truly feeling the release.

As I continue to grow my business and triple down on being a one woman operation, I’ve been reflecting on how to help my future self integrate the ambitious HUSTLE MUSCLE with the necessary SLOW DOWN.

I started this reflection on my retreat. At the end of our week of slowing down together, I encouraged the group to reflect on their experience, and to think about how to integrate their reflections back into “real life.”

We did an exercise from one of my favorites, Brene Brown, to hone in on two Values to guide us through the transition. I landed on ☀️ JOY and EXCELLENCE as the two core values to move me into the next season ☀️ which I love as a reflection for where I’ve been and how I want to grow. I’m about creating not only a JOYFUL and EXCELLENT product but a JOYFUL and EXCELLENT life (PS I do have some excellent virtual upgrades I’m excited to share soooooon!)
