Ginger Turmeric Shots
My husband and I kicked off cold and flu season by making this ginger turmeric juice concentrate and WOWEE ZOWEEE it's powerful stuff! I was surprised how easy it was to make, even without a juicer. You just need a high powered blender, strainer, ginger, turmeric, water, pepper and a little sweeter and you've got a powerful elixir to keep the germs at bay!
Cool Tips:
Fill a large bottle with juice to keep in the fridge and make ice cubes with whatever you have left over. Easy to heat and serve in hot or cold water later this season.

Ingredients
1 large orange
2 small lemons
1/8 cup chopped fresh turmeric (peeling optional)
1/2 cup chopped fresh ginger (peeling optional)
1/8 tsp fresh black pepper
water to taste
honey or maple syrup to taste
Instructions
Cut citrus in half. Squeeze and strain, using strainer to catch seeds. Add juice to blender.
Add turmeric and ginger to blender (peeling optional)
Add black pepper and I suggest starting with 2 tbsp sweeter.
Blend. If too thick, add water. If not sweet enough, add another orange or more sweeter.
Strain over large bowl for at least 1 hr. The pulp will collect and drip slowly into bowl.
Add liquid to bottle and keep the pulp for the ice cube trays.
When you’re ready, add concentrate to hot or cold water, sip and enjoy!
